Delicious and Wholesome Shrimp and Chicken Recipes

Ialways tell my friends and people who ask me. . if my daughters learn to appreciate food, the time it takes to cook it and develop a love for cooking (along with eating healthy), all this food blogging and cooking will be worth it. Well, it’s already worth it but I guess I should say, it would be THAT much better and worth it more.

Ingredients:

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 pound chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 head of broccoli, cut into florets

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or a mix of dried basil, oregano, and thyme)

Salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Begin by seasoning the shrimp and chicken pieces with a generous sprinkle of salt, pepper, and the aromatic blend of dried Italian herbs.

Heat a generous drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Add the seasoned chicken pieces to the skillet, allowing them to sizzle and cook until they achieve a golden exterior and are cooked through, typically about 5-7 minutes. Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.

In the same skillet, add a touch more olive oil if necessary, then introduce the seasoned shrimp. Cook the shrimp until they turn a vibrant pink hue and become opaque, typically 2-3 minutes per side. Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside with the chicken.

In the same skillet, incorporate the broccoli florets, minced garlic, and a splash of water to facilitate the steaming process. Stir-fry the broccoli until it reaches a vibrant green color and a tender texture, which typically takes about 3-4 minutes.

Return the cooked chicken and shrimp to the skillet with the broccoli, tossing everything together to ensure even distribution and allowing the flavors to meld. Taste the dish and adjust the seasoning if necessary.

Just before serving, garnish the stir-fry with a sprinkle of freshly chopped parsley, adding a burst of freshness and color.
